Boxer Day at Ritz Carlton Dana Point

We finished the Christmas weekend with an absoulte beautiful wedding at Ritz Carlton Dana Point for Charlie and John. We've been to Ritz Carlton on a few occassions but this was our very first time in the Main Ballroom (Salon Ballroom 1 - 4).

For this 20 table wedding, I had the absolute plasure to DJ/MC and light up the room. A big thanks to Jennifer Yamauchi for referring and planning this awesome event. For this wedding, the bride changed about 3- 4 times: her Chinese Chi Pao back to her wedding dress and then her Korean Hanboks and wedding dress.....Jenny kept everything on time and flawless... It was also good to meet up my friend, Linda Vuong of LV Floral...

Last Christmas Party of 2010

We finished our 2010 Christmas party season with an absolute colorful event at Doubletree Claremont. It was our first time working at DT Claremont. Annual Christmas Concert @High School Gymnasium

Did my first big live production at Rowland Hts High School for around 700 guests. They anticipated 1000. Too many speakers were used and not enough lights: lesson learned....hahaha

A December HB Hyatt Wedding

We recently did an small intimate wedding at Hyatt Huntington Beach for Jeff and Stephanie. It was a sort of destination wedding. The bride and groom flew in from Hong Kong. Never actually met the bride & groom till the day of the wedding but apparently, they saw me at their friend/cousin's wedding. Absoutly beautiful wedding with guests flying in from around the globe. First time ever on a Sunday night, kept the dance floor packed for almost 3 hours.....

A Ranch Wedding @Rancho Los Lomas Ranch, Silverado

We did a 300 people wedding a few months ago at Rancho Los Lomas in Silverado. A big thanks to Linda Voung of LV Floral for referring her family to us for this event. A big thanks to Adrienne Gunde for providing us these stunning shots.

It was pretty big undertaking, we used more than 150 lights to light up the courtyard. I tried my best to give it a mixture of colors to compliment the beautiful plantation around the courtyard.

An Intimate Wedding @Spanish Hills Country Club Camarillo

I had the privilege to dj/mc and light up a beautiful wedding recently at Spanish Hills Country Club Camarillo. It was our first time working there. One of the most beautiful country clubs we've ever worked at. It has a spectacular view nestled in a gated community with awesome food in a really intimate setting......I would say this is one of the top 3 country clubs we've worked at.

An Absolute Stunning View @La Venta Inn, PV

Had an absolute blast spinning at an Irish/Chinese wedding at La Venta Inn, PV. I believe it was small intimate wedding with most guests flying in for the event...A sort of destination wedding. Congrats to Shane and Fang for having me part of theri event. Had a chance to spin some 80's and riverdancing music...heheh

Whale of a time @Long Beach Aquarium Wedding

Rocked an awesome wedding over the 10-10 weekend for one of the sweetest couples ever met, Erwin and Esther. A 18 table wedding at the Aquarium of the Pacific at Long Beach. It was our 2nd time back at the Aquarium in almost 6 years. A very simple lighting and dj setup.

A Full Cast @Castaway Burbank Wedding

We lid up 2 rooms on Saturday at Burbank's Castaway Restaurant. For Rod and Jeanne's 300+ people wedding. We lid both their lounge and reception ballroom. A Penthouse Wedding @Andaz Hotel, Hollywood

Did my friend, Steve's wedding recently at Andaz Hotel West Hollywood. It was a penthouse wedding on the 13th floor. A really edgy and beautiful ballroom with the cocktail hour by the pool and an awesome skyscraper view of LA.

Annual Pilgrimage to Mission Inn, Riverside

We made our annual trip to Mission Inn, Riverside over the weekend. We had the absoulte honor of doing Linda & Joel's wedding. We come out here about once annually. This place is absolutely stunning vintage location...

The Music Ballroom at Mission Inn is a vintage old wooden ballroom. Similar to that of Park Plaza, Biltmore Millennium and Langham Hotel. We lid up the room and hope we did the room justice. Got to chance to work with the ladies of Fleuretica. Awesome floral arrangements like always.

Labor of Love @ Universal Hilton Hotel Wedding

Kicked off the labor day weekend @ Universal Hilton Hotel for a beautiful wedding with Lianny & Stanley. Lianny & Stanley are without a doubt one of the sweetest couples I've ever met.

We were very privileged to provide them with lighting and dj services. For their lavish wedding, we lid up the entire room using LED wash lights, double pinlighed all the centerpieces and projected a vintage gobo.

This wedding had all the classic in the making, Taiko Drummers from UCLA, beautiful floral arrangements, and a first dance for the ages. Lianny & Stanley danced to Scent of a Woman's Por Una Cabeza. The movie was an absolute classic and that tango track is a legend.....

A big thanks to the ladies of In the Cloud for coordinating this awesome event.

An intimate affair @ Santa Monica's Loews Hotel

We finished August with a beautiful and intimate wedding at Loews Hotel Santa Monica. It was an absolute pleasure to dj and light up Felix & Esther's wedding. This wedding was also a sort of reunion with couple of my previous bridal clients that are also in the wedding business too.

Esther & Felix booked me from Florida. Everything was via emails, met once briefly b4 the wedding. Other than that, everything went really smooth on the wedding day. Big thanks to Helen of Moment like this for coordinating the event.

A Hat-Trick Costal Weekend@ Shutters on the Beach, Marina del Ray Marriott & Newport Beach

Last Saturday, we did 3 weddings all along the Pacific Coast. We did Shutters on the Beach in Santa Monica, Marina del Rey Marriott & Turnip Rose in Newport Beach.

Incredible phenomenon weather coupled with awesome bridal couples. For Laura and Micheal's Shutters Wedding, we lid up all the stunning centerpieces and wash the perimeter of the room with led wash lights.

Lounge Feel @ A Marina del Rey Marriott Wedding

We did a club and lounge lighting decor at Marina del Rey Marriott for JD & Louis' wedding. A big thanks to Linda of LV Floral for the event. The penthouse ballroom was on the 12th floor, aka, helicopter pad.

We lid up the room with complete LED lighting, some funky patterns & pinlighted all the floral arrangements. This was without a doubt, one of the sickest club settings we've done...even their MC wants to hire us for his upcoming wedding......really flattered.

Annual Prilgrimage to Turmip Rose Costa Mesa, Newport Beach

We made our annual pilgrimage to Turnip Rose Costa Mesa, Newport Beach last weekend. Like anything good in life, consume or use it moderately and not in excess.....

Turnip Rose with other few unique architecture locations are places we don't frequent often, probably once a year. And the one time we are there, we absolutely enjoy our experience. The other unique architecture locations we visit annually but not often include:

A Vintage Look @Summit House Wedding, Fullerton

We kicked off our weekend with a Friday night event @ Summit House Restaurant in Fullerton. I love this place. If the staff don't treat me to an awesome prime rib cut, I would at least get the Prime Rib Sandwich....and then to wash it down with a icey glass of Newcastle Ale...

For this 22 table wedding, we did a vintage moss green and magenta look to her reception room. Lid her room with 30 something LED uplights, multiple pinlights & multiple gobo patterns spread around the room and courtyard.

Mode 101 @Pasadena Hilton Hotel Wedding

Everytime when I do a wedding around Pasadena and when the bride or groom has Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough on their playlist. It makes me reminisce of that big concert Depeche Mode had at the Rose Bowl, Pasadena, about 20 years ago...I remember watching David Gahan on DVD would say, "Good Evening Pasadena" to about 100,000 fans......

For this wedding at Pasadena Hilton, We provided them with dj, lighting & av services. A big thanks to MC Sophia for mcing the event. For the decor lighting, we did a comb of amber & pink uplights. Very simple setup. For music, I spinned a comb of top 40s and quite of bit of 80s music with OMD, Aha, Depeche Mode & New Order....

A big thanks to Nam & his crew of Modern LA Wedding for coordinating this beautiful event.

A Langham Pasadena Wedding in the Georgian Room

We've done a quite a few number of events at the Langham Hotel Pasadena the past 12 months. The Georgian Ballroom in particular, brings a soft spot in my heart because I recall doing the last last wedding on a Sunday night in the Georgian Ballroom when it was still the Ritz Carlton Pasadena back in early 2008.

It was an absolute privilege providing Sean and Andrea a simple lighting setup. I believe the color that we were going for was eggplant.....not sure if that is politically correct....hehe. I don't recall all the specifics because the wedding was last year. For this intimate wedding, we double pinned all the centerpieces and wash the perimeter of the room with egg-plant color uplights.
