A lasting event at the Pacific Palms Resort

We've had the absolute privilege of doing some incredible events over the course of 2009 at the Pacific Palms Resort.

We did a lighting gig for an Indian wedding that will appear on the Bravo Channel, we did a lighting for a news celebrity up in the Colonial Room. We did an event that was accepted by "the knot" as one of the best wedding video of 2009 (Melody & Steve). We were part of one of the most decadent events ever (Sophia & Hugh). Funny and rare, we did 2 bridal couples at Pacific Palms with the same last name of as mine "George Hou and Angela Hou"....My last name is very rare, but two.......hehehe. Beside all that, we were just blessed to be part of many great events at the Pacific Palms this year.

We finished our 2009 Pacific Palms' Campaign with Steve
n and Vivien's wedding down at the Majestic Ballroom. Absolute stunning bride with beautiful floral arrangements. I was hired to do lighting and av but hired the last minute to spin. 2009 In Review: San Gabriel Hilton

2009 came and gone in a blink of an eye. We started off 2009 with a big event at the San Gabriel Hilton for "Nina and Derek". I guess, we will most likely conclude 2009 with another big event at the San Gabriel Hilton for "Linh and Calvin" & "Jaime & Leonard"..........

2009, we did quite a few events at the San Gabriel Hilton Hotel. Some corporate but most were weddings. We are very grateful to our brides, grooms and coordinators for having us part of their big dates. We are also very grateful to the staff at the San Gabriel Hilton for being so accommodating.

In terms of djing and projection, we were able to utilize all sort of equipment to the max. For the one big event, we were able to use 2 projectors and up to 6 speakers for the a guest count of 700 people.

For Decor lighting, we used everything from leds, moving heads, wash lights, name projection, stage lighting and pinlighting.

An Intimate Wedding @Irvine Marriott

Rocked a small intitmate wedding for 6 tables. A big thanks to Natalie and Jack for having us part of their beautiful wedding.

A Green Wedding at Pasadena's Castle Green

I had an opportunity of providing Decor Lighting and AV services for Ida and Matt on one the most popular dates of 2009, October 10th. This was probably the 3rd or 4th time we've worked at Castle Green.

I know I have a few 2010 Castle Green Brides. Attached are some amateur pictures of the event. Hopefully, will have more.

This event was coordinated by Stephanie of Exquisite Events Specialists. She is one of the most detailed, well versed, super organized and sassy planners I've known over the years. With Stephanie on the helm (she is next to the bride), We didn't have much to worry about. Brides and grooms, if you are in search of a planner, please check her out.

BTW, Stephanie coordinated another event at Pelican Hill Resort back in September or October. Will try to post that in the near future. Stay tuned, you don't want to miss that event.

In terms of lighting, we used Eco-Friendly Green LED lights (Hence, Green Wedding) and Name projection. We wish Matt and Ida, the best with everything........

Angela and Raymond's "For Eternity" at the Pacific Palms Resort

Angela and Raymond had a very intimate day wedding back in June at Pacific Palms Resort's Majestic Ballroom. This was my second time working with Angela. I first met her 3 years ago at her brother's wedding. I knew right off the bat, it would be a very fun and relaxed wedding. Her bubbly and exurbanite personality compliments Raymond's more stoic and low key personality.

Their ceremony was by the Pacific Palms Resort's Gazebo and the reception was held in the main Majestic Ballroom.

For this particular wedding, we provided dj and lighting services. A big thanks to my MC friend, Sophie, for helping me out. In terms of color, we used a combination of Pale Amber and Lavender for her ballroom.

We wish Angela and Raymond the best with everything.....

An Oasis at the Island Hotel Newport Beach

Recently, I had the pleasure of providing lighting services for an awesome pre-wedding party, aka Sangeet, for Sanjay and Mona at Island Hotel, Newport Beach. It was my first time working at the Island Hotel, Newport Beach. What a beautiful and sassy hotel. This event was held in the tent on the Island Hotel's premise.

This particular sangeet was slightly different and unique....It was a casino theme sangeet....had about 20 black jack, craps and roulette tables. It was a really festive night with great food, alcohol and awesome music...

The color requested was Tiffany Blue. We lid up the room using many abstract gobo patterns to create the chaotic effect in the Tent/Casino setting. I guess to confuse the guests, so they would indulge more........

For the white dance floor, we washed it with Tiffany Blue wash lights to give it a swimming pool effect.

A Majestic Affair at Pacific Palms Resort's Majestic Ballroom

We had the absolute pleasure of providing lighting, projection and dj services on October 10th for "Sophia & Hugh". They were undoubtedly, one of the nicest and down to earth couples I've met over the years.

In terms of lighting, we pinlighted all the centerpieces, uplighted the walls using pink and lavender wash lights....gave a sassy name projection on the backwall and lid up their marble dance floor with stars......

A last minute karaoke request on the 10 foot screen.....We are just fortunate to have all these necessary equipment for these unpredictable moments. BTW, that is a 5 tier cake for only 10 do the math.....hehehe

It was one of the most decadent events we've been part of in years. Beautiful chandelier lights, chiviari chairs, elegant fabric, and elegant wedding favors. Props to the bride for putting on such a grand event.

Good morning,

I just want to say it was a real pleasure working with all of you during Rima & Daniel's wedding yesterday. We had a tight schedule and had little glitches but we managed to get through all the main events in time.
