An awesome weekend with awesome brides + vendors. The wedding at Langham Pasadena was the 3rd of a trio of friends that hired us this year (Big thanks to Stephanie, her bridesmaid, for having us part of her wedding and referring: Natalie + Jessica)

Jessica's wedding at Langham Pasadena was without a doubt one of the most fun weddings I got a chance to dj + light this year. Good ambiance, Good food, Good alcohol, Good people = Good Wedding!!!

When I ask my clients, if you want a Complete Wash or Partial Wash for your walls.? I simply mean, do you want your walls to be completely lit up or have gaps in between! This applies primarily in a Linear Room Setting......

Weekend Recap: A Pasadena Langham Wedding

A Lovely Wedding @Langham Pasadena's Viennesse Ballroom

We kicked off our 2011 Summer wedding season with a beauiful wedding @Langham Pasadena for Viennese Ballroom Amy + George. A really beautiful wedding for around 140 close family, guests and 3 beautiful sisters that acted as bridemaids.
A really initimate affair with live performance, Lion dancers and I had the privilige to DJ/MC and light up the beautiful Viennesse Ballroom.
When I met Amy, She expressed to me that both Geroge and Her were on the shy side. She expected me to amp up the crowd. I am just happy I was able amp up the night and get the entire wedding guests jamming.

To pin or not to pin? A Langham Pasadena wedding & Irvine Hyatt wedding comparison

Recently we did 2 beautiful weddings for 2 awesome couples. Each couple invested, I am sure, quite a bit on thier centerpieces. After seeing both wedding pictures, it is apparent how pinlights play such vital role in highlighting the centerpieces.

For the Langham Wedding (Pix 1), we pinlighted, in fact double pinlighted, all her floral arrangements and it really stood out in the picture. For the Irvine Hyatt (Pix 2), we did not pinlight any floral arrangements except the cake and the sweet heart table. The end result....the floral arrangements all got lost in the dark...

A Fusion at Pasadena Westin Hotel Wedding

July and August were the two busiest months for us....Having to do 6 different cultural weddings within a 3 week span: Vietnamese, Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Filipino and an Indian wedding. Each wedding offered us an unique and insightful perspective into the diverse cultures we are blessed to have here in Southern Cal.

Jennifer and Stanley hired us light up their beautiful and art decor ballroom at the Westin Pasadena. We used a combination of LED and Pinlights to light up her ballroom. This wedding had a combination of a Chinese Flair with the Lion Dancers and the tradition Korean Pae Bak ceremony.

We wish Stanley and Jennifer the best with everything.

An intimate gathering at the Pasadena Huntington Langham Hotel

I had the privilege of providing both lighting & dj services for Raymond and Joyce over the weekend. Raymond & Joyce are established photographers and cinematographers in their own respective right. My crew and I are extremely flattered and humbled to provide our services for colleagues in the wedding/event business. On top of that, it was at the Langham Pasadena (Formerly the Ritz Carlton), one of the classier hotels in Southern California. Their ceremony was held at the Japanese Garden and the reception was held in the Georgian Room.

The Langham Hotel Family is well known in Asia and the Pacific Rim area for its excellence and quality. The Pasadena Langham in particular, is well known for its for its Classic Victorian age interior, renaissance art decor, concave ceiling and fine collection of China...For those of you considering the Biltmore Millennium. Langham offers comparable in quality and room feel but at a suburban setting.......easier parking hehehe

The Langham's Georgian Room, without decor lighting already looks beautiful. With some decor lighting, it brings out the characteristics of the room. On a side note, The Georgian Room and Viennese Room are the 2 ballrooms that we most frequent. The Viennese Room is somewhat similar but wider by about 25'.

For their ballroom, we used a combination of LED Uplights, In rosemary pink/pinkish-magneta for most of the night, pinlighted every table and the cake.

We wish Raymond and Joyce the best with everything and hope to see them in the near future.
