A Pomona Sheraton Wedding

We started off May with a couple fairly big size weddings at Pomona Sheraton and San Gabriel Hilton respectively. For the Pomona Sheraton wedding, it was our first time working there. A really beautiful ballroom with beautiful interior and beautiful looking chairs.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Ria and Anthony. Ria's bubbly personality and down to earth nature made my job so much easier. I believe her family did all the floral arrangements and it was absolute paramount that all the centerpieces were lit up. For her color selection, we used a combination of deep blue and tangerine.

I have to admit, it was a little pressure cooker given the fact that we did all the setup for about 35 tables in less than one hour or so because there was another conference preceding their wedding. I want to thank my crew for their swift and absolute dedication. We did go over by 5 minutes...lol

Enjoy the pictures and trailer we welcome your suggestions and comments.

A big thanks to Beth, Annie and the staff at Pomona Sheraton for the pictures and assisting us in every capacity.

Southern Comfort at the Castle Green Pasadena

Between the Chinese wedding and the Indian wedding, I squeezed in a Vietnamese wedding with a Southern Flair on the 1st day of May. We made our annual pilgrimage to the vintage Castle Green Pasadena.....Noted, we don't go there frequent, probably once annually.

Chelsea hired us after seeing me and my MC (Kim) at their friend's wedding from last year. So the whole planning process was relative simple and thru email. We actually never met till of the day of the wedding.....everything was well planned thanks to the ladies of Love, Ann & Joy. We provided them with DJ/MC services for both ceremony and reception. We lid up the room with some uplights and a custom design gobo and We also provided them with our projection package for their slide show.

For their first dance, they danced to Bryan Adam's acoustic version of Heaven. In terms of music, I did thrown in Sweet Home Alabama and Kid Rock to entertain the guests from the South and Mid-West...lol.

We wish Chelsea and Derrick the best and welcome your comments and suggestions.

A Wedding Union at the Union Station Los Angeles

I was hired by Gwen after a few emails. She indicated to me that she wanted an art decor feel to her wedding reception hall at LA's Union Station. This was my first time working there and I had no idea of how grand and the sheer size of this place until we did our first walkthru like a month before her wedding. Funny thing, the interior of this place reminded me a lot of Union Station New York. I literally lived in NYs Union Station from having to commute from Jersey to Connecticut on a weekly basis back in my college days.

A big thank to Justin of Huntington Catering for the logistic help. All these pictures were taken from Stephanie Williams' blog. For complete story, please see her blog.

We wish Gwen and David the best. Stay tune for the Bollywood wedding at the Marina Del Rey Marriott. Enjoy the pictures and we welcome your suggestions.

"To light or not to light at the Black Gold Golf Club, Yorba Linda"!

Recently, we did 2 weddings at the Black Gold Golf Club at Yorba Linda. Both events were relatively small and intimate. A big thanks to Julie Spencer at Black Gold Golf Club for the awesome food and great service. I always enjoy coming back to this place...=) For the October 2009 wedding, we did the event without any Decor Lighting, see the pictures below:

On the contrary, for Jennifer and Matt's April wedding, we lid up the room with average amount of decor lighting. As you can see, what a transformation...A big thanks to Herman Au for these stunning and colorful shoots. Please see his blog for more to this fun wedding. For this wedding, We used a simple double happiness, filled the room with changing LED flood lights and few pinlights.

Oh Sh#$, is that me to the left having a beer?...its all good...
had a chance to see some old friends and will be at another future event with this awesome couple.

We wish Jennifer and Matt the best and see you guys at Diane's wedding..=)
